People For Bikes

Uniting a Million Voices to Improve the Future of Cycling

By Laurel-Lea ShannonPeople For Bikes

Imagine a world where bikes rule. Where every road includes a bike lane. Where highways and bridges, trails and underpasses lead safely to where you want to go—whether it’s across town, across your state or province, or across your big, beautiful country.

People For Bikes has that vision. Launched one week ago, the website is the new go-to place for cyclists to unite and, “speak with one powerful voice—to let policy makers, the media and the public know that bicycling is important and should be promoted.”

Whether you’re a casual rider, a roadie, a mountain biker or a bike commuter, you can unite your voice with other cyclists to raise public awareness about the health and environmental benefits of cycling. Together, send a message to all levels of government to expand and improve infrastructure to make cycling safe for everyone.
