On July 28th, 2010, 25+ cyclists will leave Halifax, Nova Scotia and embark on an amazing adventure, touring the Maritime Provinces. Cyclists will have the opportunity to cycle through three provinces known for their rugged coastlines and distinct Maritime Culture (PEI, NS and NB). The tour will start at the QEII Hospital in Halifax on July 28th and return to Halifax on August 2nd, participating in the Natal Day Parade in Halifax.
Cyclists will complete this Bike Tour, relay style. Each cyclist will be part of a team and will be responsible for completing approximately 100 km’s per day. Each team will cycle together and a support vehicle will be supplied. Teams of cyclists will leave from specific locations along the route. Each team of cyclists will participate in media events at a designated hospital. At these media events, representatives from the Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society will speak promoting Pancreatic Cancer Awareness and Pancreatic Cancer Research.
Jerseys (2), accommodations, meal allowance, will be organized and supplied to cyclists by the Craig’s Cause Pancreatic Cancer Society. Come and cycle, enjoy the scenery and make new friends!
